Safe Halloween Parade  Each year the Chamber sponsors a Safe Halloween Parade for the children of the Mahopac community. The children, most accompanied by parents and grandparents, parade from the Mahopac Firehouse to Lakeview School. Costume judging takes place and prizes are awarded for the best costume in several categories by age. All attending, young and old, enjoy refreshments. The children enjoy games as well as having various other entertainment. Mahopac High School students  volunteer to help with refreshments and games. Balloons and goodie bags with candy are also distributed. Safe Halloween takes place in cooperation with the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. Members of the fire department lead the parade with a fire truck.
